Overview
The volunteer's mission will be to get to know the elderly, listen to them, elicit their memories, and engage with them about their lives and perspectives. The volunteer will also participate in and propose activities for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Get to know the elderly, listen to them, elicit their memories, and talk to them about themselves, their life, their projects, their way of understanding the world and their desire to be outside their country, outside their family.
- Participate in the different activities set up by the animation team.
- Propose activities if desired.
- Accompany the most autonomous residents in their external movements.
- Wrap birthday presents for the whole year.
- Distribute mail in the rooms to meet the residents.
Required Experience
Volunteer with basic French, comfortable with seniors.
