Key Responsibilities

Szkola Podstawowa Specjalna nr 30 im. Stefanii Sempolowskiej is looking for volunteers from European Union countries to join ESC project in Sosnowiec, Poland. Main activities include working at special needs school especially: - Taking part in everyday activities of school agenda. - Joining teachers in the lessons, supporting the students who experience behavioral problems. - Creating the scenarios of the English lessons, taking turns, presenting Volunteers' original culture. - Giving support during the breaks by taking care of the safety of the Students in the corridor. - Engaging in the preparation of various school events (celebrations of different holidays and special days in the calendar. - Engaging in sports acrivities inside and outside of school (sport contest in various disciplines). - Spreading the creativity, inspirations, being partners in the mission of making Students happy, more motivated and equipped with educational and personal skills. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation for our volunteers is always chosen on the basis of its proximity to the school and close to tram and/or bus stops. The city is very well connected as regards public transportation and the services of bike sharing are also widely spread. In any case, the volunteers are always provided with a card for public transport for the whole duration of the mobility. The accommodation we always choose is a flat in quiet and safe areas, with kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Organization covers rent, payment of gas, electricity, water, internet. Every volunteer has his/her own bedroom. Training during the activity On-arrival training, mid-term training, other trainings connected to the topics. Participant profile In our projects we aim at involving youngsters aged 18-30 years old with no distinction of ethnicity, religion, gender, political orientation, nor economic, geographical, physical, social condition. We will always try to ensure gender balance in every project, but this won’t be a compulsory requirement for our final selection.
