Overview
The Refugee Health Promotion Intern will focus on building partnerships with healthcare providers, creating a service map for clients, and leading workshops. The role involves documenting services, attendance, and client knowledge, and may include providing transportation or bus training for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact new health care providers to build partnerships.
- Create a service map that caters to the health and wellness of IRC clients.
- Lead 3 different workshops held for clients.
- Document services, attendance, and increased knowledge.
- Provide transportation for clients via IRC vehicles.
- Provide bus training to clients if needed.
Qualifications
Currently a BSW or MSW student at an accredited university, a student who has some foundational coursework for generalist social work, health, or wellness.
