Overview
The role involves analysing State aid cases and policy issues in the transport sector to prepare proposals on the Commission's position. It requires assessing the compatibility of State aid measures with the internal market and preparing decisions for authorisation or prohibition.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing State aid cases and policy issues in the transport sector (aviation & rail).
- Preparing proposals on the Commission's position regarding these cases and issues.
- Assessing the compatibility of State aid measures with the internal market.
- Preparing decisions setting out the Commission’s position on these measures (authorisation or prohibition).
- Engaging in discussions with Member States.
- Contacting interested parties, competitors, and complainants.
Required Experience
Solid experience in the enforcement of European State aid rules.
Qualifications
At least a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma.
