Overview
Consultancy to support ECLAC Caribbean Member States in preparing Voluntary National Reports for the fifth review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA).
Key Responsibilities
- Support technical assistance and advisory activities for Caribbean governments in preparing national reports on MIPAA implementation.
- Provide online sessions of technical assistance in three priority areas: older persons and development, advancing health and well-being into old age, and ensuring enabling and supportive environments.
- Bolster the production of at least two National Voluntary Reports for the fifth review and appraisal of MIPAA implementation.
- Systematize countries' progress in implementing MIPAA based on national reports and incorporate them into the subregional chapter.
- Back the preparation of the subregional input based on information received from Caribbean Member States.
- Draft the subregional input for the LAC Report of the fifth review and appraisal of MIPAA, including challenges, opportunities, and policy recommendations.
Required Experience
Experience in research, policy analysis or program implementation in the area of population and development are required. Background and understanding of population aging policies and frameworks and track record of relevant work, projects or publications for international organizations are required.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in demography, population studies, social sciences, public policy or related fields is required.
