Overview

The Senior CBI Associate will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of UNHCR’s Cash-Based Intervention (CBI) programmes in Moldova, ensuring effective and timely cash assistance delivery to beneficiaries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs to the operation's Multifunctional Team (MFT) for smooth financial processing of cash assistance programs.
  • Manage and maintain databases for cash-based interventions.
  • Develop statistical and detailed reports.
  • Assist in developing and administering UNHCR MPC based Intervention database.
  • Ensure monthly maintenance of cash list for timely delivery of cash to beneficiaries.
  • Maintain relationships with partners and financial service providers.
  • Assist with training of internal staff and partners on cash procedures.
  • Execute best practice in data protection standards.
  • Support coordination with different IPs, Ops and focal points on lists of beneficiaries.
  • Undertake missions and field visits to financial service providers to monitor the cash project.
  • Represent UNHCR at cash-based intervention related meetings.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Develop improvements to the database and related workflows.
  • Direct incidents and problems to the supervisor.
  • Support identification and management of risks and opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

4 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher. Data management experience, preferable in CBI context. Excellent knowledge of computer software and database applications. Experience in Microsoft SQL Server. Experience/training in accounting. Good knowledge of UNHCR financial rules, procedures and processes. Knowledge of UNHCR specific programmes (MSRP, Focus, etc.). Prior exposure to UNHCR refugee operations and functions relating to office administration and programme activities. Completion of the UNHCR Learning programmes or specific training relevant to functions of the position.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Bachelor or equivalent or higher.

Knowledge of English and Romanian is required.
Languages Preferred
Working level of Russian is considered an asset.

Remuneration
The annual net salary is between MDL 465,360 and MDL 542,920 depending on relevant experience, excluding dependency allowances (if applicable), mandatory medical insurance and pension fund enrollment (if applicable).
