Overview

Support infrastructure activities related to the design, supervision, and quality assurance of projects funded by loans to increase the Ministry for Public Investment's capacity for timely and impactful implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for project implementation, including assisting in design documentation, needs assessment, tender processes, and project management of works.
  • Support coordination and stakeholder communication with contractors, municipalities, and other partners.
  • Assist in the supervision of design and construction works, including on-site monitoring of quality, costs, schedule, safety, and environment.
  • Support monitoring, reporting, and technical analysis, including reporting on on-site monitoring, providing early warnings of potential problems, and collecting/analyzing background information for reports.
  • Provide administrative and documentation support, including drafting correspondence on project engineering issues.
  • Support knowledge building and sharing by compiling and systematizing project knowledge, products, and tools.
Required Experience

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction-related project management and supervision (with Secondary Education) or 4 years of relevant experience (with Bachelor´s degree). Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems. Desired: Experience in coordination and/or management of large-scale projects. Experience in preparation of tender documentation, design activities, and/or supervision in accordance with the Law on Planning and Construction requirements. Project experience that requires knowledge of national legislation (Law on Planning and Construction). Work experience in/with international organization and/or government institution.

Qualifications

Secondary education is required. University degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
