Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of a donor landscape heat map.
  • Support to stakeholder coordination and information gathering.
  • Preparation of analytical products and presentations.
  • Assistance in the review and drafting of agreements.
  • Research and analysis on regional priorities.
  • Monitoring of donor funding trends.
  • Support research, concept development and partnership engagement for a regional trust fund.
  • Provide opportunities for engagement with international law-related research.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. Desirable experience in Resource Mobilization, research and analysis and partnership development. Desirable experience in political and policy analysis.

Qualifications

High School Diploma. Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelors degree or equivalent), or be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent or higher). Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of Spanish is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
