Overview

The CBA Finance Officer supports the financial management of cash-based assistance programmes, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant cash disbursements. The role also involves supporting the management and supervision of Financial Service Providers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen the internal audit of Cash-Based Assistance (CBA) programmes.
  • Effective management of FSP contracts, including providing financial coordination and clear payment instructions.
  • Review and validate FSP cash distribution and reconciliation reports.
  • Support FSP invoice processing and account replenishment.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and expenditure management for cash-based assistance (CBA) programmes.
Required Experience

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Accounting and Auditing, Financial Management, Audit and Investigation, financial management, cash transfer programming, risk management, internal audit, compliance, budgeting and forecasting, contract management, accounts reconciliation, payment processing, humanitarian finance.

Qualifications

Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Prevention, accounting, finance, economics, business administration and any other related fields.
