Overview

This role provides multi-skilled functions to assist work across BMS Workshops, focusing on masonry, painting, and repairs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in construction of simple building structures and refurbishments.
  • Assist in construction and installation of walls, ceilings, and doors.
  • Repair, maintain, assemble, paint, and fit various office constructions and furniture.
  • Maintain and operate machines and equipment.
  • Follow all applicable rules and regulations and handle equipment safely.
  • Carry out duties with consideration of security, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Keep abreast of latest technologies, norms, standards, and regulations.
  • Discuss implementation of new products and techniques.
  • Record relevant work information in the Facility Management Electronic Workorder Platform.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of work experience in the masonry field is required as follows: Completed secondary education: at least 2 years of relevant experience; First-level university degree or higher: at least 1 year of relevant experience. Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the internet.

Qualifications

Completed secondary education is required. Certificate of completed apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g. “Gesellenbrief”) as a skilled stone builder/mason is required. The HTL or equivalent certificate is accepted in lieu of the completed apprenticeship supported by relevant practical experience as stone builder/mason.
