Overview
The Project Assistant (Case Management) will provide case management guidance and technical support to field teams under the National Emergency Response Mechanism (NERM) framework, operate the NERM Hotline, and facilitate referrals and accommodation for unaccompanied minors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management guidance and technical support to field teams under the National Emergency Response Mechanism (NERM) framework.
- Operate NERM Hotline.
- Facilitate the referral and accommodation of unaccompanied minors in emergency shelters, in cooperation with local authorities and prosecutors.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with field actors to ensure appropriate protection and care arrangements.
- Support the tracing and reunification process of unaccompanied children in collaboration with field partners.
- Contribute to coordination and thematic meetings, reporting on trends, challenges, and best practices related to the NERM implementation.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum one year of related work experience in a humanitarian setting;
- Experience coordinating protection activities and a good understanding of protection SOPs preferred;
- Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities and stakeholders, working in international organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization;
- Demonstrated ability to draft and prepare clear and concise formal correspondence and project reports.
Qualifications
- High school degree/ certificate with minimum three years of work experience; or
- University degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum one year of work experience.
- Master’s degree in above fields is an advantage.
