Overview
The Supply Chain Assistant (Fleet Management) will be responsible and accountable for supply chain activities, guided by Supply Chain Management (SCM) objectives to deliver quality goods/services to beneficiaries at optimal price and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating day-to-day dispatch activities.
- Support efficient coordination with dispatch team.
- Maintain record of extra hours served by drivers.
- Ensure vehicles are registered and licensed.
- Monitor procurement-related documents and archive vehicle documentation.
- Keep record of driving licenses and necessary permissions.
- Randomly check logbooks and track mileage viz a viz fuel consumption.
- Generate leave plan for dispatch team.
- Verify fleet is in working condition and generate vehicle maintenance requisitions.
- Coordinate and act as backup for Airport team focal person.
- Generate incident reports for vehicles involved in traffic accidents.
- Coordinate with insurance focal person and OSS in case of accidents.
- Generate daily reports of vehicles.
- Provide inputs for the evaluation of drivers.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- University degree with two years of relevant professional experience; or High school diploma with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in procurement and logistics and working with vendors and service providers;
- Experience with asset management process;
- Experience working in an international organisation an advantage.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High school diploma.
- Certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
