Overview

The Partnership and Outreach Associate on Waste and Marine Debris Management provides support for stakeholder engagement, multi-sector coordination, and partnership development to strengthen collaboration in marine debris reduction efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective support for stakeholder engagement and multi-sector coordination.
  • Support stakeholder mapping, partnership development, and identification of potential funding sources.
  • Support design and implementation of Public Awareness and Campaign Initiatives.
  • Support development outreach materials and support policy dissemination.
  • Support strategic partnerships and resource mobilization, and knowledge management.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in the field of stakeholder engagement, outreach, communication, public campaigns, partnership coordination or other relevant areas.
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), database packages, and web-based management systems such as ERP.
  • Strong knowledge and professional experience in environmental issues, particularly marine debris, waste management, marine ecology, and related fields.
  • Experience coordination with government institutions, cross-ministerial bodies (such as TKN PSL), NGOs, private sector or community organizations or other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing multi-stakeholder dialogues and engagement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder mapping and stakeholder analysis for environmental, waste management, or natural resources programmes.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Indonesia's waste management policies, including the National Strategy for Waste Management (Jakstranas), the National Action Plan on Marine Debris Management (RAN PSL), and related national environmental frameworks.
  • Solid experience in producing analysis and report.
  • Experience working with UNDP or other UN agencies and/or international organizations and/or major donor agencies.
Qualifications

Secondary education is required. Or A university degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Marine Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, Waste Management, Environmental Policy, Environmental Management, Communication, International Relations, Public Policy, or other closely related fields will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement. Candidates with educational background in environmental-related disciplines are highly preferred.
