Overview

This role provides specialized operational support and timely advice on air operations related issues within the Mission Air Operations Center, contributing to the safe conduct of activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in planning and coordinating routine, special, and military operational flights and other air transportation activities.
  • Compiles and publishes daily projected Air Tasking Orders (ATOs) and communicates them to relevant elements.
  • Participates in coordinating integrated search and rescue operations for UN air assets and other aircraft.
  • Monitors flight departures and arrivals and updates relevant tracking systems.
  • Maintains records of aircraft movements and operational statistics.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in air transportation operations or related fields is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience in flight planning, Flight dispatcher or Air operations is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational certificate in Air Transportation, Safety Management, Air traffic Control or graduation from equivalent military establishment or military/air traffic control training is required.

Knowledge of aviation terminology and operational procedures is desirable. Basic radio communication skills is desirable
