Overview
The Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Technical Associate will support the project manager in ensuring the quality of results-based management processes, including monitoring and evaluation, and will be responsible for tracking project progress and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring the quality of procedures and systems for results-based management phases: design, formulation, planning, implementation, and closure, with a focus on monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure the quality of information for corporate PM&E platforms (Quantum) related to the assigned project.
- Assist in the implementation of project evaluation standards, capture lessons learned, and recommendations.
- Assist project staff in implementing tools for tracking activities, progress towards results, indicator measurement, and risk management.
- Help report on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress of project activities, beneficiary databases, safeguard plans, risk mitigation, and final project evaluation.
- Provide data, inputs, information, and statistics for reports to the Project Management Team and UNDP.
- Prepare and update project documentation.
- Assist project staff in incorporating institutional guidelines on gender, disability, ethnic groups, digital, conflict sensitivity, and human rights into planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Transfer and periodically update M&E guidelines to project staff, partners, and government.
- Perform any other activity required by the project.
- Participate in training and organize briefing sessions on internal procedures for project staff.
- Support other capacity development activities, including designing and delivering tools, workshop materials, or platforms.
- Support the dissemination and exchange of relevant data, lessons learned, and knowledge management strategies within the country office and regionally.
- Stay abreast of emerging best practices nationally, regionally, and internationally related to the assigned project.
- Make significant contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Support the collection and systematization of project knowledge, products, and tools, and their broad distribution to partners.
Required Experience
- 7 year(s) experience (for individuals with a Secondary Education certificate at High School level) or 4 year(s) experience (for individuals with a University Professional Title at Undergraduate level) in Results-Based Management (RBM) in programs and projects, monitoring and evaluation, learning, data analysis.
- Experience in the use of participatory quantitative and qualitative methodologies and tools.
- Experience in evaluations and technical capacity building in groups.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in results-based management.
- Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and report production.
- Experience in armed conflict situations in Colombia.
Qualifications
- Secondary Education certificate (High School level) is required.
- University Professional Title (Undergraduate level) in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, Social and Human Sciences, Engineering, or related areas will be considered favorably but is not a requirement.
