Overview
The Senior External Relations Associate will support UNHCR's external relations activities in Ecuador.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of UNHCR’s external relations strategy.
- Assist in managing relationships with government authorities, civil society organizations, and other partners.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, briefings, and other communication materials.
- Monitor and analyze the political, social, and economic context in Ecuador relevant to UNHCR’s mandate.
- Provide support for advocacy initiatives and public awareness campaigns.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in external relations, public affairs, or a related field.
- Experience working with government institutions and civil society organizations.
- Experience in report writing and communication.
- Experience in the humanitarian sector is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Communications, or a related field.
- A first university degree in combination with two additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
