Overview

The Protection Associate - Consultant will implement Protection programmatic response in line with internal policies, SOPs, and IASC guidelines, principles and tools on Protection, including GBV and Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support targeted protection assessments and consultations with affected populations.
  • Provide temporary operational support to protection case management activities.
  • Support the ongoing delivery of other protection interventions and activities.
  • Support the planning, organization and documentation of protection assessments, community interventions and case closure-related consultations.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize and present protection-related information and data.
  • Support the preparation of operational closure materials.
Required Experience
  • High School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or other related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with case management for at-risk individuals in an emergency response.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing needs of those at-risk and/or Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASCs) is a distinct advantage.
Qualifications

High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or other related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is a an advantage.
