Overview
The Protection Associate - Consultant will implement Protection programmatic response in line with internal policies, SOPs, and IASC guidelines, principles and tools on Protection, including GBV and Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.
Key Responsibilities
- Support targeted protection assessments and consultations with affected populations.
- Provide temporary operational support to protection case management activities.
- Support the ongoing delivery of other protection interventions and activities.
- Support the planning, organization and documentation of protection assessments, community interventions and case closure-related consultations.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize and present protection-related information and data.
- Support the preparation of operational closure materials.
Required Experience
- High School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or other related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with case management for at-risk individuals in an emergency response.
- Experience in coordinating and managing needs of those at-risk and/or Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASCs) is a distinct advantage.
Qualifications
High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or other related fields from an accredited academic institution.
