Overview
Supports the implementation and monitoring of ICRC restoring family links (PFL) activities, ensuring visitors and/or callers' needs are understood and appropriately responded to.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains contacts with separated families, or families of missing and/or other enquirers.
- Implements Protection Family Links activities, including collection of tracing cases and follow-up.
- Performs internal and external follow-up of individual cases.
- Receives visitors and/or calls and ensures timely responses.
- Carries out filing and archiving tasks.
- Assists in institutional exercises relating to planning, budgeting and monitoring programs.
- Represents the ICRC and prepares/reports on meetings and field visits.
- Develops and maintains contact with humanitarian and civil society organizations, service providers, and external stakeholders.
- Translates or interprets upon request.
- Carries out administrative tasks relating to the follow-up of Protection Family Links field assignments.
Required Experience
Typically, 3-5 years’ experience in the field of social, political or economic sciences or similar. Experience with the ICRC or another humanitarian agency an asset. Experience as a social worker, case worker or similar in a humanitarian organization an asset.
Qualifications
University degree or relevant professional experience. Computer skills.
