Overview

The European Commission is seeking a Secretary to provide administrative and logistic support for the Advisory Committee on Safety and Health at Work (ACSH). The role involves supporting meeting preparation, managing reimbursement processes, disseminating documents, and maintaining procedural databases.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to ensuring the smooth run of the activities of the Committee.
  • Provide administrative and logistic support to the preparation of meetings.
  • Follow up on reimbursement processes via the Commission dedicated application.
  • Disseminate documents on the digital platform.
  • Maintain contacts with, and provide guidance and information to, the Committee members.
  • Keep up to date procedural databases such as expert registers, list of contacts, document folders, etc.
Required Experience

Appropriate professional experience of at least three years (if secondary education is the highest level attained).

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
Other Details
Languages Required
• Have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU. • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French would be an asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be of 1 to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The provisions guiding the calculation of these allowances can be consulted in the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants. As a member of staff of the European institutions, your pay is subject to a tax raised by those institutions.
