Overview
Responsible for integrating Joint Effects and targeting into NATO and Allied exercises, coordinating with JTE SMEs, ACO Command POCs, and J2/J3 staffs to ensure robust exercise objectives, scripting, and delivery. Supports targeting boards and develops targeting content within Annex II (Targeting Directive) for Strategic CONOPS planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Joint effects and targeting integration into NATO and Allied Operations, Activities and Exercises.
- Coordinate across JTE SMEs, Subordinate ACO Command POCs, and J2/J3 Staffs to ensure robust, and clear Operational objectives, and subsequent input into Exercise scripting and delivery.
- Support the organization of targeting Working Groups and Boards.
- Provide directions for the planning of Operations, Activities ICW J5/J35 and Exercise ICW J7.
- Develop and draft targeting content within ANNEX ll (Targeting Directive) in support of DDA FoP's planning and development ICW J35 and J5.
Required Experience
- Experience in Joint Effects disciplines.
- Experience leading, conducting, or contributing to the Joint Targeting Cycle.
- Experience in planning or conducting NATO exercises at the joint or strategic level.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Planner both at Strategic/Operational Level (Desirable).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a joint targeting role, either in intelligence supporting to targeting or operations (Desirable).
Qualifications
- University Degree in history, geography, politics, economics, operations research or related discipline and 2 years post related experience; OR Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
- Course: JPL-OP-3f 378 - Strategic Operations Planning Course or national equivalent(SOPC) (Desirable).
- Course: JTG-JT-2535 - NATO Joint Targeting Staff (NJTS) Course or national equivalent (Desirable).
