Overview

Provide specialized environmental compliance and safeguard support for reconstruction activities. Ensure compliance with environmental policies, donor requirements, and national regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental screening and develop environmental management instruments.
  • Undertake site inspections and support environmental reporting.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and monitor compliance.
  • Implement environmental mitigation measures.
  • Prepare environmental monitoring and compliance reports.
  • Conduct new House Site Impact Assessment /Site Transfer – Relocation as required.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, environmental authorities, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Comply with IOM's policies and procedures.
Required Experience
  • Five years of relevant professional experience with a university degree, or a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences management and Project/Programme Design, Management & Evaluation.
  • Experience in environment to outer islands, Pacific and/or Micronesia.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences management and Project/Programme Design, Management & Evaluation.
  • University degree in the same field.
