Overview
The Health and Nutrition Community Mobilization Assistant will support the implementation of community-based health and nutrition activities and strengthen community health volunteers in detection, referral, and awareness-raising.
Key Responsibilities
- Sensitize communities and ensure understanding and support for activities.
- Ensure proper identification and support of Community Volunteers.
- Participate in elaborating training modules and teaching materials.
- Support Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) in organizing their activities.
- Ensure regular active screening and awareness sessions.
- Support CHVs in following up cases at home.
- Provide CHVs with work materials and reporting formats.
- Develop clear work plans for community health and nutrition activities.
- Coordinate and liaise with field teams, communities, and partners.
- Reinforce the link between CHVs, team members, and the community.
- Document and share lessons learned, achievements, and successes.
- Produce regular weekly and monthly reports.
- Conduct monthly meetings with CHVs.
- Embed counter-fraud and ethical controls.
Required Experience
3–4-year work experience in social work with focus on community development and mobilization, (required with a medical background to manage iCCM). Protection/community development experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor in Public Health , Nutrition , Midwifery , Nursing or any equivalent field
