Overview
Support the implementation of Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) program activities, including cash distribution, to improve food security and livelihoods for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in sensitizing beneficiaries, local authorities, and stakeholders on FSL project activities, objectives, timeline, and selection criteria.
- Sensitize the community on response and feedback mechanisms.
- Support FSL activities including needs assessment, baseline survey, DDM/PDM, and village mapping.
- Assist in community mobilization, forming and training community development committees (CDCs), and beneficiary registration and verification.
- Assist in the distribution of cash, verifying beneficiary identity and ensuring correct individuals receive funds.
- Archive copies of beneficiary fingerprint lists and receipts.
- Provide support to beneficiaries by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Ensure orderly queues and crowd management at cash distribution sites.
- Communicate cash distribution process, timing, amount, and required documents to beneficiaries.
- Direct beneficiaries to the cash distribution committee.
- Ensure beneficiaries have access to complaints and response mechanisms.
- Support data entry of project information.
- Assist in coordination with financial service providers and stakeholders for smooth cash distribution.
- Coordinate with CDCs and beneficiaries on cash distribution times and places.
- Monitor cash distribution activities, identify challenges, and communicate them to the FSL Officer.
- Prepare reports on cash distribution activities.
- Collect and maintain data records on cash distribution and beneficiary information.
- Embed counter-fraud and ethical controls in operational processes.
Required Experience
- Two years of experience working with international NGOs.
- Two years of experience working in food security and livelihood activities in Taiz Governorate, specifically in Ash Shamayatyn district.
- Good working experience in community mobilization activities and awareness raising.
- Knowledge and experience of the areas of intervention context (Taiz), specifically Ash Shamayatayn district, and ability to relate with stakeholders.
Qualifications
University degree in social science, economics, agriculture, geography, or another discipline relevant to food security and livelihoods.
