Overview

The Data Management Officer will assist the Health and Nutrition (HN) team in Taiz with information management, ensuring data is collected, reviewed, analysed, and archived correctly to facilitate health and nutrition activities and PDQ Health and Nutrition efforts, while ensuring data protection and management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Generate statistical reports, graphs, and maps.
  • Ensure consistent and compatible data collection from the field and review it.
  • Provide technical support to HN, WASH, and FSL sectors in information management and data analysis.
  • Develop monthly updates (graphs) showing project progress.
  • Provide feedback on common mistakes in reports.
  • Analyse data and create reports against program indicators.
  • Develop user-friendly data reporting tools with consideration for sex, age, and vulnerable groups' disaggregation.
  • Develop and create forms and trackers using PowerBi, Kopo, Excel, and other MS packages.
  • Work closely with CO MIS and MEAL to report HN cluster monthly updates using 5W.
  • Report HN data in PRIME and ensure consistency with figures reported on IPTT and other reporting tools.
  • Respond to internal required reports of the project.
  • Raise Procurement Requests (PRs) related to reporting.
  • Ensure data related to children is safe and shared following Save the Children's procedures and policies.
  • Ensure training of project staff on reporting process, data flow, and data maintenance.
  • Carry out responsibilities in a way that reflects Save the Children's commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Adhere to and promote the SCI Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, and values.
  • Comply with Save the Children policies and practices concerning child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities.
  • Perform other functions relative to Health and Nutrition activities and initiatives.
  • Embed counter-fraud and ethical controls in all operational processes.
Required Experience

At least 3 years of experience in dealing with HN project data. More experience with INGO data is preferable. Experience with data assessment such as Baseline assessment, Endline assessment, KAP survey, and Need assessment is preferable. Good understanding of health and nutrition indicators is required, and other sectoral indicators as WASH, FSL, CP, etc.

Qualifications

University degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or relevant studies related to data management.

Languages Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with mainly the advanced level of EXCEL, Kopo, and Power Bi (required). Fast and accurate data entry skills (Required). Good understanding of health and nutrition indicators (Required). Very Good English language skills.
Languages Preferred
More experience with INGO data is preferable. Experience with data assessment such as Baseline assessment, Endline assessment, KAP survey, and Need assessment (Preferable). Willingness and ability to work extended hours and adapt to emergencies (Preferable).
