Overview
This role focuses on leading and coordinating project implementation, building relationships with partners, and ensuring technical quality assurance and program design, monitoring, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Christian leadership, nurture staff spirituality, and facilitate a positive working environment.
- Build staff capacity through coaching, mentoring, and developing personal capacity building plans.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key partners, including government institutions.
- Represent the organization in technical working groups.
- Facilitate teamwork, coordination, and work planning among team members.
- Ensure integration of DRR and WASH programming.
- Coordinate and network to secure technical resources.
- Develop TOR, manage logistics and finance administration for activities.
- Monitor project spending against budget and manage reports according to standards.
- Inform staff and community about recent approaches/technologies.
- Identify training needs, prepare materials, and conduct training.
- Support the preparation and submission of quality and timely reports.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching on TD Principles.
- Support PQ team to complete project design.
- Support DME processes and share lessons learned.
- Ensure monitoring systems and tools are developed and used.
- Train Project Facilitators on using tools.
- Coordinate revision of plans and budgets.
- Write and submit draft Project Semi Annual and Annual Reports.
- Provide strategic leadership to Programmed Quality Self-Review and PQ Matrix review.
- Engage with government and churches for sustainability and scaling up.
- Attend weekly chapel services and regular devotional meetings.
- Support in hosting visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff.
- Assist in humanitarian emergency disaster management.
Required Experience
A minimum of two years of appropriate professional experience (Child Health, DRR and Climate Change Adaptation). Demonstrated experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing. Proven leadership ability and experience as a team.
Qualifications
University degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Public Health, Development Studies, Philosophy & Social Science and Humanity).
