Overview
The Project Officer (Food Security and Livelihoods) will be responsible for the successful management and implementation of a short-term humanitarian project involving cash transfer programming for conflict-affected households.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead program relative assessment data collection and in the entry process of the data
- Assist to Project Manager and lead to facilitate the field level meeting for beneficiary selection as well as committee formation in community level
- Take steps to ensure that the programme benefits for the more vulnerable families and assist in beneficiary selection in a participatory and transparent manner.
- Ensure the field level implementation and related tasks by coordination with area operations team
- Assist the supervisor in preparing work plan, distribution plan and budget estimation and develop weekly plannings, including transportation and other support needs
- Coordinate for project implementation with other department as well as with the project stakeholders to achieve desired outputs and outcomes (including workplan and other community level coordination session. )
- Ensure community mobilization, and facilitate community-based project activities through regular interaction with beneficiary and community members.
- Ensure humanitarian response provision activities in community level smoothly through quality monitoring support such as cash disbursement and etc.
- Support to supervisor for conducting field activities.
- Lead to facilitate capacity building workshops, awareness sessions, review meetings and training sessions for variety of stakeholders.
- In coordination with MEAL staff for monitoring and documentation on progress of project activities in geographic area/s of assignment.
- Assist in procurement of materials, supplies and maintenance of project equipment and repair if needed.
- Ensure respective stakeholders, and community members involve in participatory monitoring and evaluation process
- Assist during donor monitoring and senior management visits as well as consultant/technical support visits to the field site based on the accessibility
- Provide about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct and ensure compliance of these policies to all program beneficiaries by age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages if needed.
- Any other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor, including participation to emergency response interventions inside and outside of the duty area.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience implementing aid projects, preferably in FSL and WASH program (preferable to who had experiences of working in conflict affected locations).
- At least 3 year experience in related field (assistant level).
- Experience in conducting needs assessments, project design, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge of community development; working with children and on children’s issues.
- Relevant Significant partnership management skills/experience and proven ability to create an environment which encourages team-working and motivates a team across various geographical areas.
Qualifications
- Any University degree/ high school level.
- Knowledge of community level distribution and training experience in emergency project.
- Food Security & Livelihood program experiences
- Training experiences in Rakhine communities.
- Completion of university, preferably in development or related field (University Degree in relevant field is preferable)
