Overview

Manages human resources services and activities for an assigned portfolio, providing supervision, coaching, and technical training to staff. Oversees various HR functions including appointments, leaves, allowances, and separations, ensuring compliance with agency rules and regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manages services and activities for the assigned portfolio, providing supervision, coaching, guidance and technical training to staff and allocating work.
  • Supervises functions including appointment records of new staff, all types of leaves, dependency and other allowances, staff retirements and separations, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Oversees operations of the Group Medical Insurance (GMI), as applicable.
  • Checks and signs Personnel Action Forms, other forms, documents and correspondence related to entitlements and/or movements and records; reviews and approves transactions on the Human Resources Management (HRM).
  • Manages the preparation of statistical and other HR reports related to the functions for the assigned portfolio.
  • Relieves the other HR Officer in the Human Resources Services Division, as applicable, during his/her absence.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

Five years of relevant experience in human resource management in an international, governmental or commercial organization, including three years of experience at a supervisory level is required.

Qualifications

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in human resource management, business, or public administration.

Contract Duration
Fixed Term Appointment for 1 year; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need.

Remuneration
Grade15 Monthly basic salary USD 1,592.60 payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate. The Jerusalem Allowance will be paid subject to eligibility criteria. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable). Additional benefits: 2 days of sick leave for each completed month of service. 14 weeks of Maternity Leave. 2 weeks paternity leave.
