Overview
The ICT Associate ensures the secure, effective, and client-focused delivery of ICT services in line with UNOPS rules and frameworks. The role supports ICT strategy implementation, oversees infrastructure and systems management, and provides technical guidance to enhance service quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures efficient and effective ICT client services, management and administration.
- Participates in the development of ICT standards and strategies.
- Maintains inventory of all computer, audio/video communication equipment, and software.
- Supervises information and communication services.
- Provides consulting services and ICT audit inspections.
- Acts as effective UNOPS' liaison with the local UN partner agencies on issues relating to UNOPS ICT.
- Ensures efficient network administration.
- Maintains network and internet connectivity.
- Ensures confidentiality, integrity and availability of UNOPS ICT systems and UNOPS information assets.
- Monitors and maintains proper backups of UNOPS data.
- Maintains measures in place for business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Maintains video conference and telephony operations.
- Facilitates the engagement and provision of high quality results and services of the team supervised.
- Provides sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Participates, organizes and delivers trainings for the operations/ projects staff in ICT services.
Required Experience
Relevant experience is work in information technology involving use of office software packages (MS Office 2010 and/or newer versions), Active Directory management, Windows servers and network infrastructure.
Qualifications
Required Secondary school (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in information sciences, computer sciences or engineering with 2 years of relevant experience. Desired Relevant globally recognized ICT professional certificates are desired.
