Overview
The role of Euratom Inspector – Safeguards Technology Assistant involves the implementation of projects for design, procurement, testing, installation, and maintenance of video surveillance and data acquisition systems in nuclear installations. The jobholder will also assist in data review and interpretation, and administer the surveillance review room.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement projects for design, procurement, testing, installation, and maintenance of video surveillance and data acquisition systems in nuclear installations.
- Perform installation and maintenance tasks of surveillance systems.
- Provide assistance in the review and interpretation of surveillance data.
- Ensure the administration of the surveillance review room.
- Contribute to drafting technical specifications and performance of technical acceptance tests for new safeguards surveillance equipment.
- Support the administration of specialised software development contracts and ensure quality control of their outcomes and deliverables.
- Qualify to become Euratom inspector and follow specific training.
Required Experience
- Appropriate professional experience of at least three years if secondary education is the highest qualification.
- Experience in procurement and financial management is preferred.
- Experience in the field of nuclear safeguards is desirable.
- Technical experience in computer and data transmission technology is an advantage.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
