Overview

Support the implementation of Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) activities and provide case management supervision to case workers to ensure competent, sensitive, and timely services for children and families.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular case management coaching and supervision with case workers.
  • Facilitate Case Management team meetings weekly.
  • Conduct case file review weekly.
  • Monitor the documentation of cases through review of files and databases.
  • Ensure confidentiality and that data protection and information-sharing protocols are respected.
  • Review and analyze trends in the caseload to inform programming.
  • Delegate tasks to caseworkers.
  • Conduct caseworkers’ capacity assessment.
  • Assist in developing capacity planning for caseworkers.
  • Provide case management support to high risk and complex individual cases.
  • Ensure access to material, logistical, and further technical support.
  • Conduct regular support to project staff for MHPSS activities.
  • Ensure that case management team maintain an up-to-date service mapping.
  • Provide briefings on child safeguarding and appropriate behavior with children.
  • Conduct assessments to identify children/families who may benefit from CVA/C4P.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring Cash Safety Plans.
  • Coordinate with MEAL teams on PDM, data collection, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Ensure proper documentation, confidentiality, and safe delivery of cash related activities.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly report of program including operations report.
  • Work with Community Social Workers and other key community members, service providers, stakeholders and NGOs to identify and safely refer children at risk.
  • Maintain an up-to-date service mapping for the township.
  • Ensure that project related information is relayed to the Project Coordinator.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reporting.
  • Fill in and use case management forms appropriately.
  • Participate in regular case management meetings with other case workers and supervisors.
  • Prepare for and participate in regular structured individual supervision sessions.
  • Take all necessary and appropriate steps to prevent abuse, exploitation, neglect, harm and modern slavery.
  • Take all necessary and appropriate steps to prevent fraud, bribery, and corruption.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 -3 years in implementing and working with children and youth, at least 2 years experiences of Child Protection Case Management and humanitarian works.
  • Previous experience working for an NGO or other non-profit organization is preferrable.
  • Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant region/context is desirable.
  • Experience of promoting quality and impact through at least one crosscutting area: gender equality and inclusion, adaptive and safer programming; child rights; disability; migration and displacement is desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of Save the Children’s structure, mandate and child focus is desirable.
  • Demonstrable MEAL experiences in different projects and program from different donors funding is desirable.
  • Experience in conducting assessments/Evaluations and an understanding of MEAL systems is desirable.
  • Proven capacity to supervise, train, and coach staff is desirable.
  • Demonstrate ability at report writing and excellent communication skills is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social work, or related field.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in implementing child protection programming including Case Management.
  • Basic Computer knowledge - Microsoft Word, Excel.
