Overview

Supports the Policy, Advocacy, Strategic Partnerships Lead in coordinating and advancing Plan International's climate partnership agenda at the global level. Contributes to developing compelling partnership proposals and evidence-based advocacy materials.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support research and outreach to prospective partners.
  • Contribute to the development of value propositions, partnership proposals, and briefing papers.
  • Consolidate and maintain a repository of climate-relevant intelligence and evidence.
  • Track and maintain records of the climate and sustainable livelihoods partnership pipeline.
  • Monitor and analyse external trends in climate policy, development finance, and funding landscapes.
  • Provide surge support on project-based work and advocacy moments.
  • Support the preparation of presentations and materials for external meetings.
Required Experience
  • Experience conducting policy or landscape analysis.
  • Experience managing partnership pipeline data, tracking workstreams, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience in an INGO, multilateral, or research institution working on climate justice, climate finance, or related themes (desirable).
  • Experience supporting partnership development or proposal writing processes (desirable).
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of climate change, sustainable livelihoods, and development finance as thematic and advocacy areas, including understanding of key global frameworks (Paris Agreement, UNFCCC, SDGs).
  • Understanding of girls' rights and gender dimensions of climate change and sustainable livelihoods (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Plan International's programmes and positioning in the climate and livelihoods space (desirable).
Other Details
Languages Required
Strong written communication skills including the ability to draft compelling briefings, talking points, and proposal contributions for diverse audiences. Strong analytical and writing skills.
