Overview
The Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund is seeking qualified experts to fill contractual positions as Technical Assistance Advisors. The role involves providing Capacity Development support to IMF member countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and participating in Capacity Development activities in public financial management areas.
- Coordinating and supervising the technical content of Capacity Development delivered by regional CD centers and long-term experts.
- Designing multi-year Capacity Development projects, managing activities, contracting and supervising short-term experts, and reporting on project performance.
- Contributing to analytical and research work on core and emerging global Public Financial Management themes, including developing technical guidance notes and CD tools.
Required Experience
- At least four years of relevant, professional experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 10 years of practical experience in a senior line or advisory position within a ministry of finance, international financial institution or development partner, as well as first-hand knowledge of PFM practices in different countries.
- It is also highly desirable for applicants to have experience delivering capacity development in PFM areas to a range of countries and in project management.
Qualifications
A relevant advanced university degree or equivalent qualifications in economics, finance, or accounting.
