Overview
Oversee finance operations, manage a finance team, and ensure financial risk management in a complex humanitarian context.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of all Finance related policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives.
- Line management responsibility for direct reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, induction, development, and mentorship.
- Develop and maintain country financial documents, procedures, guidance, and tools.
- Maintain the country’s overall budget control and monitor cash flows.
- Ensure budgeting, accounting, year-end procedures, and other financial processes adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, and donor and auditor requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Train and develop NRC staff and partners’ capacity on financial and budgeting responsibilities.
- Ensure strong implementation of the Anti-Corruption Policy.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a senior finance role with managerial responsibility in a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience in audit, risk management and budgeting are essential. Previous experience within the region and/or area of operations is preferable. Experience in risk management with implementing partners. Experience in remote management.
