Overview
Supports effective grant financial management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring donor funds are managed efficiently and grants are implemented in accordance with approved budgets, policies, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage grant setup, master data creation, and budget administration within SAP systems.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, budget realignment, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budget utilization reports, and donor financial submissions.
- Provide financial guidance and capacity building to Project Managers on budget management and grant implementation.
- Monitor grant expenditures, cash flow, foreign exchange impacts, and cost recovery.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, audits, and financial monitoring requirements.
- Conduct financial reviews, field monitoring visits, spot checks, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate financial reporting, fund management, and compliance processes with consortium partners and stakeholders.
- Support partner financial management through expenditure monitoring, advance liquidation, and reporting reviews.
- Lead grant closure processes, including reconciliations, outstanding payment clearances, and final donor reporting requirements.
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Grant Management, preferably in an NGO setting, out of which 3 years on a senior level. Knowledge and experience of donor grants of diverse institutional donors (EU, US funding, ECHO, UN Agencies, GFFO, FCDO, etc.).
