Overview

The MEAL Coordinator will lead the management of all MEAL aspects of projects, coordinate with partnerships, develop information management systems, and support local organizations to achieve program quality goals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective planning, implementation and technical leadership on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning for assigned projects/programs.
  • Manage and develop MEAL plans, including logical framework, indicators and target setting.
  • Design and maintain MEAL tools/templates and data collection processes.
  • Design and maintain project/program databases and prepare data/insights for management decisions.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, interpretation, triangulation, visualisation, dissemination and reporting.
  • Conduct regular and participatory monitoring/observation, document findings and recommend actions for improvements.
  • Perform routine data quality assessments and capacitate partner organisations.
  • Lead studies, capturing changes and harvesting outcomes at the project/program level.
  • Lead reflection, learning and review workshops with project and partner teams.
  • Lead support of partners in partner-led complaints/feedback mechanisms initiatives.
  • Ensure MEAL-related reporting meets required disaggregation, integrity and quality.
  • Support internal/external evaluation processes.
  • Provide MEAL oversight and technical leadership for partners and relevant staff.
  • Undertake field-based business trips and local partner technical support.
  • Adapt and apply feminist principles to MEAL throughout programming.
  • Contribute to overall Program Quality and Knowledge Management work.
Required Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of solid Monitoring and Evaluation experience leading consortium/partnership MEAL portfolio. Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Enterprise Development and Innovation, Livelihoods Grants and Market System development. Additional experience in recovery and resilience-building intervention is a plus. Demonstrated experience of coordinating with grassroots organisations and Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Myanmar.
