Overview

The Social Policy Officer provides technical support and assistance in social policy programming and advocacy, focusing on public finance for children, social protection, and child-focused public investments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance in social policy programming and advocacy.
  • Improve public financial management in social sectors, including social protection, health, and education.
  • Enhance institutional capacity for sustainable social sector financing.
  • Utilize data and evidence to inform strategic policy decisions.
  • Ensure transparency, adequacy, equity, and efficiency of child-focused public investments and financial management.
  • Engage in direct program work with government and civil society partners.
  • Support teams working on health, education, child protection, emergency, and gender.
Required Experience

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Financial Management, Social Policy, public finance, budget analysis, budget planning, public financial management, social policy, social protection, fiscal policy, economic analysis, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, public sector governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Social Science, Political Science, International Business Relations, Public Policy, International Relations and any other related fields.
