Caribbean OCT and EU Engagement Specialist

Overview

The Caribbean OCT and EU Engagement Specialist will identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships within the OCT Caribbean, with a focus on the EU, to implement UNOPS engagement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted market analysis of socio-economic landscapes in Dutch-speaking Caribbean and OCTs.
• Map EU funding cycles to align UNOPS capabilities with EU regional priorities.
• Design and promote service offerings addressing SIDS vulnerabilities, focusing on climate resilience and sustainable infrastructure.
• Cultivate and manage stakeholder networks within the Caribbean.
• Act as the primary technical focal point for EU delegations and regional bodies.
• Promote and position UNOPS in regional forums for OCT-specific initiatives.
• Develop value propositions for Caribbean partners.
• Lead the end-to-end development of new business leads.
• Formulate financing strategies for OCT development projects.

Required Experience

At least 5 years of experience in international development including demonstrated experience in: Developing and executing partnership and programme development plans; Project development and proposal writing; Acquisition of projects. Experience working with EU Government and/or Caribbean OCTs is required.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, Political Science, Communications or International Relations. A combination of a Bachelor's degree with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the education requirements outlined above.
