The World Bank Treasury Internship Program offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high-impact learning experience in global development, contributing fresh perspectives and connecting with international professionals.
Interns will rotate through different Treasury teams, engage in specific projects or tasks as directed, participate in weekly discussions, attend technical and career-focused sessions, present at the conclusion of each rotation, and complete a capstone project.
Demonstrated paid work experience, previous internship, or leadership in a financial organization or club is strongly encouraged. Experienced with programming languages, such as Python, or specialized software for managing and visualizing economic and financial data. Demonstrated ability to research, extract, and process financial and economic data from various source systems and repositories, especially Bloomberg, World Bank Group or International Monetary Fund databases, and online sources.
Penultimate-year undergraduate student for the Undergraduate Track, or current master’s/Ph.D. student for the Postgraduate Track. Must be enrolled in the second-to-last year of the equivalent of a four-year college degree program in finance, business, economics, or a related field. Must be prepared to graduate with the equivalent of a four-year college degree between December 2027 and September 2028. Must be in good academic standing at their college or university.
