Overview

To handle receipt/dispatch and verification of commodities to maximize warehouse operations quality and mitigate losses, and to support storage management practices in compliance with WFP standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure goods received are counted and registered, noting quantity differences.
  • Conduct quality control for received goods, registering and reporting damaged or incorrect items.
  • Issue authorized spare parts and materials for correct vehicle/machinery models.
  • Record returned spare parts and materials.
  • Prepare and pack spare parts and materials for transfer to other depots.
  • Supervise physical loading of spare parts and materials to other locations.
  • Obtain and maintain up-to-date spare parts catalogues, price lists, and cross-reference numbers.
  • Implement stock management to maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Organize and implement regular internal stock-taking and ensure stock record accuracy.
  • Ensure spare parts and materials are stored in a safe, clean, and secure environment.
  • Prepare orders for local and international procurement and track the process.
  • Ensure adherence to stock management guidelines, systems, and procedures.
  • Enter data into the FMS for Stock Control & Tyres modules.
  • Share experiences and contribute to team building.
  • Travel occasionally as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in spare parts warehouse and inventory management, including stock control, receipt and issuance of materials, inventory reconciliation, use of Fleet systems, warehouse record management, and storage of vehicle/workshop spare parts. Experience gained using a computerized Fleet Management System with emphasis on the Stock Control Module. Experience in managing warehouses with Spare Parts.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary technical certificate related to mechanics is desirable.
