Overview

Provide specialized support for in-kind and cash-based transfer (CBT) operations, ensuring efficient, secure, and accountable delivery of assistance to affected populations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Field Office logistics operations and activities.
  • Support the coordination of deliveries from ports/warehouses to Final Distribution Points (FDPs).
  • Assist with warehouse stock reconciliation.
  • Ensure capturing of real-time transactions for receipts and dispatches.
  • Verify and reconcile Food Release Notes (FRNs).
  • Ensure STO and SO documents are linked to the correct FRN, activity, and consignee.
  • Support overall Retailer Relationship Management.
  • Receive, record and verify CBT invoices.
  • Ensure local markets/retailers in CBT locations are adequately supplied.
  • Ensure retailers’ shops/warehouses meet food storage standards.
  • Monitor the LESS last mile dashboard.
  • Respond to technical queries from cooperating partners regarding last mile.
  • Ensure losses are posted correctly by last mile operations.
  • Ensure Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) are closed promptly.
  • Ensure cooperating partners (CPs) are well trained on last mile operations.
Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years post-secondary experience in humanitarian operations in the field of logistics or supply chain. Experience working with supply chain information systems including maintaining data systems, running queries on ongoing shipments, pipeline information, and food stocks. Desired experience in contract execution, including compiling contract documentation and administering third party service providers’ contracts. Experience in Retailer Management, coordination and vendor/contract support and reporting. Knowledge of river logistics and supply chain aspects of CBT.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area, such as Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management.

Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.
Languages Preferred
Oral communication in Arabic is desirable. Knowledge of another locally used language is an advantage.
