Overview

The Project Assistant (IBG) will facilitate the execution and delivery of border management programmes and provide clerical support to the Immigration and Border Governance portfolio.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general/clerical assistance and support the implementation and organization of IBG project activities, such as trainings, meetings, workshops and community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in note-taking, meetings/workshops/activities reporting, and translating project and communication materials to/from Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Support administrative coordination for project implementation.
  • Assist in updating project monitoring tools and related documentation.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other forms of documentation.
  • Provide support in drafting, designing visibility products and other publication materials.
  • Assist in developing and implementing project visibility and communication initiatives.
  • Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • School diploma with three years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with one years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Indonesian National with good knowledge and understanding of migration issues and border management in Indonesia context, is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in developing social media contents, publication, and drafting is advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications

School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
