Overview

Support information management, data collection, data analysis, and visualization activities for reconstruction and relief efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain data management tools, including databases and applications.
  • Collect, consolidate, and maintain data from the field for all emergency response, preparedness, recovery, reconstruction, and readiness programmes.
  • Compile, store, analyse, and distribute programme information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Train programme staff in data inputting and utilization of data management tools.
  • Carry out registration activities for demographic data of affected populations.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly project reports.
  • Process requests for information from national government, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for the development and implementation of communications plans.
  • Assist in developing publishing materials and presentations, data visualizations and dashboard formats.
  • Research, analyse, and evaluate applications related to information systems and new technologies.
  • Undertake regular travel outside the duty station to project areas.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree; or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
  • Experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, and construction management in developing countries and/or other relevant areas.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation and in producing high-quality reports.
  • Experience working with IOM and/or USG-funded projects is preferred.
  • Experience in the Pacific region is an advantage.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Information Management, Geographic Information Systems, Archival, Information Science, Information Systems, Social Science, or related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Contract Duration
