Overview
The Associate Project Officer (Gender and Climate Mobility) will support all aspects of projects, programmes, and strategy related to Gender and Inclusion, contributing to implementation planning, coordinating activities, and assisting with reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project documents to identify gaps in gender-related considerations.
- Compile and draft information, guidance, and training materials for capacity development.
- Compile and organise data on gender, climate change, and human mobility and draft initial summaries.
- Circulate approved research, publications, and good practices to partners.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to senior staff engaging with partners on gender issues.
- Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, seminars, and meetings.
- Track the status of project and programme indicators and report findings.
- Record and report observed delays, data quality concerns, or compliance issues.
- Assist with data collection tasks during field monitoring missions.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Significant experience in Gender in alignment with IOM/donor requirements; Significant experience in application of IOM guidance, regulations and procedures related to Gender mainstreaming; and, Experience with project development, reporting, and donor liaison.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, Gender Studies or Public Administration, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or, University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.
