Overview
Review, update, and finalize a case compendium on Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants (TIPSOM) for judges and legal practitioners in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Build on the existing draft case compendium and conduct a comprehensive legal review and analysis of case laws in legal journals and other resources relating to TIP in Malaysia, as well as landmark judgments from relevant jurisdictions.
- Present and submit the first revised case compendium, including analysis and commentary.
- Incorporate feedback from IOM and other stakeholders and submit the final draft compendium.
Required Experience
A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in anti-trafficking and smuggling of migrant law. Prior work experience in relation to migrant protection thematic areas in Malaysia is essential. Demonstrated professional record in reviewing legal jurisprudence. Demonstrated work experience with IOM and/or the UN Agencies is an advantage.
Qualifications
At least a bachelor’s degree in law preferably.
