Overview
Develop a Missing Migrant Assessment for Mauritania to provide a comprehensive overview of institutional architecture and operational procedures related to clarifying the fate and whereabouts of missing migrants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Missing Migrant Assessment, including desktop research, key informant interviews in Mauritania, and observation of disembarkation sites.
- Present findings of the Assessment to the National Task Force on Missing Migrants and incorporate feedback.
- Deliver an inception report, a brief report with an overview of interviews, a first draft of the assessment, a presentation of the draft assessment, and a final draft of the assessment.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience working on missing persons, including missing migrants.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with government officials on issues related to missing migrants, particularly with governments in Africa.
- Proven experience in developing institutional assessments.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in Forensic Science, Forensic Medicine/Pathology, Forensic Anthropology or a closely related field.
