Overview
Support the implementation of IOM Venezuela's protection activities, including field-level interventions, community engagement, and protection monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Support beneficiary registration and information collection.
- Conduct protection assessments and document findings.
- Provide information on available protection services and referral pathways.
- Assist in the implementation and follow-up of protection response activities.
- Record, update, and maintain information on beneficiaries.
- Facilitate referrals to specialized services and follow up.
- Support coordination and information exchange with relevant stakeholders.
- Report protection concerns and safeguarding incidents.
- Support community-based protection activities and engagement.
- Support awareness-raising activities and dissemination of IEC materials.
- Draft case notes, activity summaries, and referral documentation.
- Participate in field visits, protection monitoring, and community consultations.
- Maintain confidential handling of personal data and protection-related information.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with five years of professional experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with three years of professional experience.
- Experience supporting protection activities with affected populations, migrants, internally displaced persons, survivors/persons at risk and communities in vulnerable situations.
- Experience in community outreach, referrals, beneficiary engagement, information dissemination, data collection and field monitoring.
Qualifications
High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Work, Psychology, Political Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, International Relations or a related field from an accredited institution.
