Overview

The Manager Education role is responsible for the technical supervision and operational management of the Education component of the project, ensuring the rigorous application of pedagogical approaches and coordination with state partners.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach and ensure the quality of student skills assessments.
  • Coordinate with the Provincial Inspectorate (IPP) for teacher training, pedagogical support, and close monitoring.
  • Lead the revitalization of proximity networks (RP), pedagogical units (UP), and basic cells (CB) for continuous teacher training.
  • Oversee the school catch-up program in collaboration with DIVAS for out-of-school children.
  • Collaborate with PROVED South Kivu 1 and 2 for decentralized planning and distribution of school materials.
  • Ensure the organization's participation in Education Cluster meetings and working groups.
  • Develop detailed activity timelines for TaRL training, back-to-school campaigns, and remediation sessions.
  • Lead the collection and analysis of performance data for TaRL students.
  • Conduct regular technical supervision missions to verify the correct application of pedagogical methods.
  • Identify technical success stories and write Human Interest Stories.
  • Analyze monthly expenditure status of the education component and propose corrective measures.
  • Develop monthly fund forecasts for motivation bonuses, workshops, and transport costs.
  • Supervise the reception, storage, and deployment of school supplies and furniture.
  • Ensure the daily management of Education Officers, validating their work plans and monitoring task progress.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for Education Officers and identify specific technical training needs.
  • Ensure Officers have necessary resources and report needs to the Project Coordinator.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in the management of educational projects, ideally in the DRC.

Qualifications

License or Master's degree (Bac+5) in Educational Sciences, Education Management, or equivalent.
