Overview
Leads the design, management, and quality assurance of Signpost information services, overseeing content development, editorial standards, and digital engagement to ensure crisis-affected populations have access to accurate information.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and publish accurate, user-friendly, and contextually relevant content across Signpost platforms.
- Adapt content for digital and offline channels, ensuring inclusive delivery.
- Translate protection risks, trends, and alerts into actionable information.
- Coordinate with service mapping efforts to ensure content reflects accurate information on available services.
- Manage content publication through digital platforms and tools, monitor user engagement and feedback.
- Capture and integrate community feedback and information needs to support accountability to affected populations.
- Ensure effective dissemination of information through digital platforms and field-based outreach channels.
- Track information needs, user engagement, and feedback trends for program adaptation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external actors to align messaging and support joint response efforts.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to Signpost staff.
- Ensure ongoing training and capacity building of Signpost staff.
- Review performance of moderators and provide encouraging approaches.
Required Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in content development, editing, or communications, preferably within humanitarian or development settings. Demonstrated experience working with digital content platforms and social media, as well as engaging with vulnerable or crisis-affected populations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, Public Information, or related field.
