Overview

Provide technical support for secondary data planning, collection, processing, and analysis, data visualization, and knowledge product development for UN Women Ukraine's humanitarian portfolio.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement primary data collection and analysis.
  • Conduct secondary data analysis from various humanitarian reports.
  • Extract, synthesize, and interpret sex, age, and disability-disaggregated data.
  • Identify data gaps and recommend complementary data collection.
  • Translate data into gender-actionable insights.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools for document review and data synthesis.
  • Produce analytical briefs for country and regional offices.
  • Design infographics, dashboards, and visual products.
  • Create visually compelling presentations and graphics.
  • Develop interactive data visualizations.
  • Produce data-driven briefs, fact sheets, and thematic reports.
  • Create snapshot products for rapid dissemination.
  • Support the design and layout of analytical products.
  • Support quality assurance of country office-led data analysis.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, templates, and minimum standards.
  • Support the development of practical AI literacy for research and data analysis.
  • Create user-friendly guidance materials and tools.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices.
  • Represent the Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group in the Data Coordination Group.
  • Support quarterly monitoring process with quantitative data analysis.
  • Support joint initiatives of cross-cutting groups.
  • Support the humanitarian team to develop a structured database of relevant programme documents.
Required Experience

Minimum five years of relevant experience in information management or data analysis. Demonstrated expertise in secondary data analysis methodologies and statistical software (SPSS, Stata, R, or equivalent). Demonstrated data visualization skills. Experience in data management, data analysis and data sharing to support organizational learning, planning, performance monitoring, policy formulation, communications and advocacy. Experience using AI-assisted tools for document review, synthesis, or analysis is an asset, with clear understanding of human validation and ethical limitations. Experience producing knowledge products for diverse audiences (technical, policy, public). Experience in information management and coordination in humanitarian contexts is an asset. Experience working with the UN and/or in an inter-agency environment is an asset. Knowledge of the common humanitarian data sets is an asset. Expertise in data visualization software and tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) is desirable. Understanding of humanitarian programme cycle and Ukraine coordination architecture is an asset. Experience working with gender-disaggregated data and intersectional analysis frameworks is desirable. Experience in the use of ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree in statistics, information management, data science, econometrics, GIS or other directly relevant field.
