Overview
This role involves translating UNICEF's brand identity into physical spaces, focusing on modernizing the country office building while respecting its heritage. The goal is to create a coherent visitor and workplace experience that reflects the organization's history, values, and future vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a visual concept based on UNICEF Branding Guidelines.
- Integrate storytelling, heritage, and brand experience throughout public and executive spaces.
- Incorporate office design/brand refreshing of common office area into a high-impact visitor zone.
- Develop engaging visitor experiences.
- Unify historic preservation with modern branding.
- Design offices including executive spaces.
- Preserve architectural integrity.
- Conduct a heritage audit.
- Archive corporate history.
- Analyze visitor traffic.
- Refine the corporate narrative.
- Design an exhibition content matrix.
- Establish a sophisticated color and material palette.
- Design a premium reception desk.
- Create custom showcase vitrines, integrated timeline walls, and digital/interactive historical exhibits.
- Plan ambient, conservation-grade lighting.
- Design layout plans for executive offices.
- Select premium, cohesive finishes, bespoke furniture, and acoustic treatments.
- Curate corporate art and achievement displays.
- Create non-invasive, historically sensitive directional signage and room identifiers.
- Deliver "Design Intent" documentation.
- Draft technical specifications.
- Conduct periodic site visits.
Required Experience
7 years of relevant experience in brand strategy, interior architecture, and corporate spatial design. Proven portfolio detailing successful renovations of historic/heritage buildings and exhibition/museum design. Proven track record in working with disabilities and/or disability-friendly designs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or Marketing / Communications, environmental design or relevant.
